A PPT made up of 107 slides to cover the content required for units C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5. The PPT is in the form of a quiz, with answers availble on the slides. There are however a couple of questions without answers. I have planned this for a Triple Science class, however, most of it is suitable for Combined Chemistry. This should take between 2-3 hours to go through. (I am teaching it tomorrow morning prior to the Chemistry exam and have a total of three hours to get through it with my class).

This PPT is designed to help prepare Year 12 students for the Chemistry content for the Unit 1 exam. This is planned for the AQALevel 3 Certificate in Applied Science course. The spec has been utilised and follwed very carefully during planning, so that all of the content is covered. 2a Atomic Structure = 11 Questions with answers. 2b The Periodic Table = 18 Questions with answers. 2c Amount of Substance =22 Questions with answers. 2d Bonding & Structure = 16 Questions with answers. The PPT is 85 slides long, so takes a couple of lessons to get through it. PLEASE NOTE that 2e enthalpy is missing as i have not had time to plan this yet! I hope you find it useful.

A lesson planned for Unit 3 (Quantitative Chemistry) of the new AQA Separate Chemistry GCSE specification. This lesson was designed for an able triple Science class. These two lessons can be used to introduce year 7's to Secondary Science. The first lesson is a short lesson and simply covers the basic lab safety. The second lesson covers basic lab equipment, including the scientific drawings. Followed by how a Bunsen works. A worksheet is provided for students to label and i have created a 10 question quiz as a mini-plenary to gauge student progress. Finally, if you have time there is a basic heating water practical for students to try once they have obtained their Bunsen burner licence.

This package includes a 3 lesson bundle which I used to help prepare my Year 12 students for the Unit 3 Pre-Release Exam (June 2018) on the Chernobyl Disaster. Lesson 1: A guide to help to students to highlight/annotate the document to really help them get to know it well. This is a very student led lesson. Lesson 2: A PPT designed to teach students how to assess the reliability of their sources. It also goes through some key aspects of scientific methodology. Lesson 3: A mock Unit 3 exam. I made this myself, based on the previous two Pre-Release Unit 3 exams (June 2017 and January 2018). I have tried to make the questions similar to those included in the last two years. I have also included a mark scheme (although the answer for the final question is omitted as it just would have taken me ages to write!). I hope you find it useful.
