These resources are designed to practise key question words in German, to help prepare students for coping with understanding the questions being asked by the teacher in both the read-aloud and picture tasks and to practise the questions which the students need to ask in the role-play. I have taken these from specimen papers published to date. A PowerPoint giving key information about the Tour de France. Accompanying resources are designed to reinforce students’ understanding of this iconic French sporting event and introduce them to key vocabulary associated with this topic.

A resource booklet for use at KS3. Contains a phonics grid, key vocabulary by topic, high frequency vocabulary and phrases, some basic grammar notes and space for students to add their own vocabulary. The booklet is designed to encourage independent learning and includes a contents page so that students can easily find the vocabulary they need. We print this booklet A5 size with a coloured front cover so that we can refer to it throughout the course. You could adapt this so that students add their own translations.

These concept maps provide a quick and easy cover solution for a lesson or two. The concept maps could be done individually or as a pair work activity.
