This resource is to work alongside the Cornerstones planning of Frozen Kingdom. All planning has been written myself and objectives are taken from the national curriculum. This planning is geography based with elements of science, art and history.
This resource is used to help children with structuring their writing. These strips fit neatly in the margin and contain both sentence starters and hints and tips.
These powerpoint slides are made in order to save time during those precious mornings. Each slide contains an activity for that morning whilst the children come in, reminders and notices, a word of the day section (currently not filled in dependent on your own spelling scheme for your year group or whether you will be following the Vocabulary Ninja’s word of the day), a quote of the day which is unique to that specific day - no two days are alike! It has room for a daily timetable which is currently filled out to my specific needs. Lastly, it has an automatic date stamp which will automatically change dependent on the day you use the slide.
This powerpoint has been created with UKS2 in mind however it is fully editable and all activities have been found using Pobble365, Solvemoji or through an UKS2 activities pack I found online.
There are 8 powerpoints in total which means there is one for each day during the UK’s Berkshire Autumn term school dates. Including a two day ‘Back to School’ slide pack. The first slide links to my Bitmoji ‘Back to School’ presentation which is available for download in my store.
Please feel free to leave reviews if you use my slides :)
These structure strips are used to aid children with their writing for balanced arguments. They come with sentence starters and hints and tips for how to write in that particular style.
Ever since I have introduced these editing stations into my lessons for English the quality of editing and improving has increased massively!
Each station has a selection of resources that accompany it. For example, for spelling we have the Year 5/6 spelling words and dictionaries available.
Using the BBC School Radio transcripts I have created Guided Reading sessions for the first 5 transcripts including vocabulary work and marked questions for Year 6 SATs prep.
This resource is to work alongside the Cornerstones planning of A Child’s War. All planning has been written myself and objectives are taken from the national curriculum. This planning is history based with some geography, science and D&T.
Resources have been attached and activities have been collated from multiple sites and tailored to my own needs.
Find that you often spend your lesson time managing difficult or even niggling behaviours? I felt so guilty that I was stopping teaching time to talk to children about their behaviour, so I created these cards to use within lessons that didn’t stop me from continuing to teach and were discrete so no child was being openly dealt with.
I use these cards in class to give to children that I spy being good all week - this is then rewarded secretly on Friday with an invitation to enter the classroom and have their lunch with the teacher with some biscuits and a movie or some board games!
I have updated my morning slides which I use each day in the classroom to display on screen as the children come into school. There are activities set each day for them to complete alongside any editing work and finishing up that is required from the previous day. Most slides will contain a ‘did you know’, a ‘would you rather’ or a ‘riddle’ to inspire thoughts and discussions first thing in the morning in a lighthearted way.
I’ve used my old morning slides for 2 years now and fancied a change but they are a time lifesaver not to mention great for cementing routines in place early on.
So far, this bundle will include 8 weeks for Autumn 1. I will add more as I go!
A template to use for Tray labels for children or stationary in the classroom. Two available designs, the first more of a colourful geometric print and the second a tropical theme.
Poster for non-verbal cues… I hate it when children put their hand up during an input and all they want is a drink or to go to the toilet, so I created a system with my children where they put up different hand signals to let me know non-verbally.
