This resource introduces students to a range of famous French and Francophone personalities, past and present, through short factual profiles. Students discover key biographical information such as dates, places of birth, professions, achievements, family details, and personal interests, while developing reading comprehension and cultural knowledge. The slides are ideal as starter activities or quick cultural moments at the beginning of lessons. I use those as cultural input at the start of classes, to encourage students to use big numbers, translate unknown words, infer meaning, ask and answer questions. Each pair of slides introduces a French region. -map -some facts to practice big numbers -specialties of that region -places to see in that region -some photos I use those as starters over the course of a few weeks. I have them up on the board as students come in and they have to read it aloud with a partner, work out unknown vocab, create some questions to ask the others.
