Just cards : pictures of food ; then cards with names of food ; and finally cards with names of meals (dinner, breakfast ...) The pupils can play and associate them to create their own menu and describe what they have for lunch, breakfast, etc.

This was aimed at a Y10 class of very able students. The ppt shows them how to use the conditional and a quiz is here to get the pupils to read and discuss together while seeing good examples of conditional. There are activities for pupils to write their own paragraph using the conditional.

Practice names of sports and "jugar" in present tense. Meant to be used with Mira 1 but the slides that are Mira-specific can easily be deleted and that leaves you with names of sports, grammatical rule, jugar (and stem changing verbs), a mime activity, time expressions that can be used in present tense and a speaking activity.

A very simple document with words in French that pupils need to match up with their French definition: a jubilee, a coronation, a funeral procession… Can be used as a way to mark HM’s death while adding a few useful words to the pupil’s vocabulary.

Y7 in my school have 30 minutes lessons for the first half term, where they "try" different languages (that the school does not necessarily offer) for 30 minutes. It's meant to be short and fun and covers things like name, age, etc. I created this short ppt (6 slides) to get them to introduce themselves in Irish.

The pupils have to find the informations on tourism booklets that I give them. It can be made with internet resources.

This is a very simple worksheet to encourage pupils to use the target language in the classroom ("May I go to the toilet?", "Can I borrow some glue", etc). I printed it on coloured paper and cut it to place the sentences in envelopes. The pupils had to match up and stick in the sentences in their book and were asked to use it in the classroom.

Practice asking for and giving the time in Spanish. Ideal for Y7. Meant to be used with Mira but the slides that are specific can be deleted and that leaves you with models of saying the time, a model for a dialogue, a model for writing (about daily routine).

I have used this ppt with Y10 - really able class who needed some revision on school and school routine before starting their CA on school. It is meant to be used with the Edexcel book but the parts that need the book can easily be deleted and there are still slides about the timetable, daily routine, etc that will be useful.

Meant to be used with Encore Tricolore 1, but the slides that have a specific page number can be deleted. There are slides to encourage whole class repetition and to encourage pupils to discuss together what the grammatical rule is; and a model for them to write their own dialogue, using the imperative to give directions.

I made this for a job interview. This can be used either as a starter or a plenary and will not last longer than 20 minutes. The slides 7 and 8 should be printed and given to students to discuss in pairs to find out where is located the place that is missing. It is good to get them to use the language in a good student.
