This approach will also help the children to develop their language and communication skills and will impress an Ofsted inspector by outstanding standards.

DT feedback/marking and assessment Stickers

Extremely useful when you need to mark many D&T projects and books. These I have spaced perfectly to fit the "21-stickers-per-page". Print stick and go, it is a very good visual indicator of what pupils' have achieved. In addition to this you can use the colours to indicate the next step or level of achievement (|A a Rainbow, different flowers even medals). From red lowest (level 2) and purple Highest (Level 7-8). I am well aware that many schools do not use levels however you can use this and adapt it to your method of Assessment.

OUTSTANDING MATHS OFSTED LESSON

WALT: UNDERSTAND AND USE PLACE VALUE OF NUMBERS FOR POSITIVE INTEGERS. Can be used for SEN as well. Higher achievers and lower achievers included. Hinge questioning and highly engaging activities. PLTS and PPT Self assessment display included as visual prompt on whiteboard. This specific lesson is aimed for Key stage 3 in general, and it is a key lesson area in math that many student struggle to grasp unless it is taught in a simplistic and stimulating way. During an Ofsted visit, the inspector said, "that was one of the best lessons I had ever seen." This you can see for yourself by downloading the lesson, resources and starter activity (English embedded within Maths ).

Here is an Outstanding Rated Lesson by OFSTED. A brilliant engaging but also a stimulating Starter(Introducion) to the lesson. The Questioning deepens learning and an AMAZING use of Blooms Taxonomy, within small plenaries and AFL. Incorporated PLTS and multiple learning styles have been considered to raise the level of learning and engagement.

Large Traffic Light Behaviour Display

Added to the Traffic light display I have listed the Behaviours as well as the possible consequences (Sanctions). This is extremely Powerful. It is a general mistake "WE" as teacher make is to OUTLINE what to DO and what NOT to do without pupils knowing what the possible rewards and consequences of certain actions are. Typically all green behaviour are rewarded. Amber do not necessarily need immediate sanctions but surely it must be addressed. Once a pupil reaches a the RED LIGHT action must be taken immediately. No 2nd or 3rd chances on THE RED light. DEAL with it. I am certain everyone reading this have different class situations, adapt and make it suitable for yourselves. POWERFUL and LOVED by OFSTED stuff this.

Year 10 Product Design Modelling OCR Specs

Year 10 Product design-Modelling Lesson (Dragon’s Den) This is a lesson planned I created for a QTS assessment and was graded outstanding. This is very detailed and easy to follow. Everything is differentiated and specifically designed to accommodate all in your class. The approach I used was a typical DRAGON’S DEN scenario where students had to present their prototype product to other groups of 4 in the class. Lesson Plan, Dragon’s Den questions, Next step emerging needs card included in Powerpoint as well as OCR Specs outlined for students to ensure that there is the suitable and correct amount of differentiation and assessments are achieved. The OFSTED inspector loved the idea and was impressed with the deeper level of thinking I developed by conducting the lesson in such a way. My questionning techniques were also a key features the Inspector identified as outstanding.

Invaluable, Simplistic and LOVED by OFSTED visual display of the 5 GOLDEN Class Rules. Print these out laminate them and be forever thankful. Use the Behaviour attainment sheet within the class and monitor Behaviour by agreeing the amount of points a student gathered within a certain area of the GOLDEN RULES. This is better used in SEBD and SEN classes of approximately 4-6 Students. I am sure you are capable enough to use and adapt the Attainment sheet to your teaching and class's needs.

KEY STAGES 2 and 3 Highly engaging starter for a math lesson introducing decimal places. This is also an excellent way of using literacy within a numeracy lesson. So LOVED by OFSTED! On the resource I have explain how to use the resource. All you’ll need is a pair of scissors and some blue tack and stick the words all over the classroom. Have fun and see how ridiculously engaging this is. Whilst you at it stick a 60sec mission impossible timer on youtube playing LOUD. Transform your starters forevermore! Have fun

The booklet itself provides opportunity for Self, Peer and Teacher assessment. Next Step, future casting and self evaluation is key to learning. Within this resources pupils will do exactly that and by asking questions like WWWWHW you can ensure thinking and learning is deepened. OFSTEAD loves “Deeper thinking and learning”
