I created this resource to support Oracy and Literacy within my classroom. I use this sheet on a daily basis and incorporate a keyword/s within each of my Low Stakes Tests (starters). The sheet allows the students to look up the word if they don’t already know it and therefore improve their vocabulary. This is a low ability crib sheet so has been written in a language that the students will understand before moving them on to the middle/higher ability sheet where much more mathematical definitions can be given.

This resource contains two pages which can be printed back-to-back and laminated for continued use. It displays a number line, counting square, multiplication grid, Fraction, Decimal and Percentages conversions as well as different shapes and keywords. I have used this with classes ranging from Year 7 right through to GCSE though predominantly with the foundation sets. I found it really useful in lessons such as Highest common factor and lowest common multiple where timetable knowledge can really slow the students down.

Can be used in Maths or History to teach about code breaking. Uses a well-known computer font and gets students to decipher messages. As an extension you can also get students to either write their own messages and even create their own code.

This download contains both a Zones of Regulation Poster and Flashcards. The idea behind it is that in each of my lessons my students will be handed a set and asked to set their “zone” for the lesson. This, naturally, can change throughout the course of the lesson. Though not every student will not want to participate which is why I have added an extra “zone” to the original four whereby students can show that they “would rather not share a feeling”. My aim is to promote a safe classroom for all of my students and allow me to build positive relationships.

Use this resource to get students to research the best prices for Items. The worksheet is pre-populated with ICT items. Encourages students to cite their sources as well as shop around. The worksheet also encourages that should the product be available in another country they should use the exchange rate to find the price in British Pounds.

Descriptions of the different species of Penguins complete with images. Students need to read the descriptions and try to match it to the correct image.

Resource that can be used for product design/textiles. Encourages students to design 6 juggling balls. they then pick their three best designs and refine and improve them on the same sheet.

Three documents with different sets of keywords to be used within Computing, ICT or Media. The keywords can either be cut out in advance or you can get the students to do it as part of their lesson. (Be warned: the words are in order so if you are going to get the students to do it, you might want to mix them up first)

A fun and colourful resource to allow younger children to their numbers, adding, counting and symmetry. If printed and laminated it can become a reusable resource.
