Introduction to the musical elements through film music. Great for a mixed ability GCSE class as it is pitched for students who have been learning music for years and beginners. Ideal for a introductory scheme of work for year 10/9. Students learning through listening activities and composition tasks. Resource includes YouTube links as extracts, exam style questions to accompany each lesson that can act as homework. SOW also goes through many of the language for learning vocab that is in the OCR specification. Most lessons are flexible and can be done over one or two hour sessions dependent on how much time you want the students to spend on the composition tasks.
