Loads to do in this lesson, lots of little activities. Taught this lesson to my year 8 and year 9 groups. Both particularly loved the 'Voki' listening activity- I created my own avatars, as opposed to just another boring listening task. The map task can be used as both a speaking and writing activity. Full of resources :-) The logic puzzle is one of rosaespanola's - check her out- her resources are beaut.

Past Tense Lesson

(2)
A very simple past tense lesson that breaks it down completely by spoon feeding the information part by part with lots of examples. Includes a 'recipe' sheet that goes with the Past Tense Burger in the ppt. Also, circles that I use as a plenary that the pupils write (given) sentences in.

Menu de la cantine

The aim of this is to get pupils up to a Level 3 writing. It can be expanded with more foods however the group I used this with are extremely LAB and had already spent a couple of lessons of foods. The blank menu worked really well, as it meant they could add as much colour as they liked!

Past tense- avoir- presentation.

Looks at how to form the perfect tense, in English first of all. Then moves onto how to form avoir & the basic forms of eating/ drinking verbs. Looks at what a Past Participle is, gives a PP 'recipe' with a burger, then finishes with a gap fill.

Fruits Presentation

Goes through the names of the fruits followed by a 'What's in your fruit basket activity?' which worked really well with LAB kids. They have to then go round asking each other, and replying which meant I could asses their learning. A game of teacher vs. students then a wordsearch rounds the lesson nicely.
