This is a really nice plenary to use after teaching the stages of meiosis. It has a series of images (diagrams, fluorescence microscopy and light microscopy) from the stages of meiosis, including interphase 1 and 2. The images are all at the start of the power point with the answers at the end. This works really well as a group quiz, where students discuss and decide the stage of meiosis based upon the position of the chromosomes.

This is a quiz activity to test students understanding of the causes of variation in a species, the mechanisms of micro-evolution and natural selection. The quiz is set up as a grid with numbers that each hyperlink to a separate question. I use this to improve the confidence of my students in their spoken responses. Once they have answered a question correctly, they get to nominate another student and give them a number to link to the next question, this adds a nice dynamic to the activity!
