Direct and Indirect Discrimination

(0)
A session on the difference on direct and indirect discrimination, good and solid examples have been used where learners can vote as to why they believe which is which with rationales given. At the end of the session there are real life discriminatory case studies which is good for learners to think and consider and to see what legislation is protecting the individual. This session is good for a healthy debate and is pitched at Level 1 and 2 Health and Social Care learners. Very easy and straight forward to teach and can be adapted anyway you see fit. This is a session that my learners really enjoy.

Communication Needs and Preferences

(0)
This is a session I find my learners really enjoy. This is all about communication preferences and how we can adapt around individuals with communication barriers needs and preferences. This powerpoint provides some really good examples of how easy it can be for us to adapt and how much it would mean to the individual but it is also includes some amazing videos of much loved TV series such as Gogglebox where learners can see the original video and reactions. There are some hard hitting short emotional videos in this one. It also highlights the strengths and weaknesses of some methods used. All video links are included within the note section of the slides.
