Judged as ‘Outstanding’ this lesson looks to enable students to independently explore the functions of different types of French adjectives and apply them in their own work. High level categorisation task to start with followed by mini whiteboard practice. Then speaking lotto (stduents must try and use as many of the phrase sin the boxes as possible and their partner ticks off the ones they hear) and then an exit slip to apply what they have learnt in written form. A successful resource which encourages GCSE French students to recall key verbs in present, near future and perfect tense across GCSE French topics. Cut out individual dominoes and create enough sets according to your class. Could be done as a kinaesthetic competition in groups of 2/3, or verbally as a whole class ( each student is given one domino and must listen out for when to call out their phrase). Could be done as a plenary or starter or as part of a revision/lunch time club.
