Grammopoly Get children practising identifying nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions and determiners. Good revision material or practise identifying word classes. Some questions based on KS2 GPS paper 1. Used with my mixed ability Year 6 class in an international school following the Cambridge curriculum and in top set English state school as revision for SATs last year. Support card to remind children of how to identify each word class attached as well for less confident children.

Year 6 Adding Fractions differentiated Puzzle Activity. Children solve each card, deciding whether the answer given is true or false in order to place all the cards in a perfect loop. Great for giving a purpose to adding fractions & developing independence. Incorrectly placed cards mean they won't link up to form a loop and children will know to go back and check their previous working. Good revision for the SATs Arithmetic paper too!

Run as a mixed Year 3- Year 8 science and cookery club with a group of 12 children. Session plans, recipes and an order list. Roughly a half-term's worth of two sessions per week. Topics covered are: seed dispersal, sexual and asexual plant reproduction, melting and freezing, irreverisble and reversible changes, useful micro-organisms, the structure of the earth.
