Two PowerPoints with role plays at the doctor. The role plays include funny situations to make students more engaged. First PowerPoint is a role play already written in Spanish. Students can highlight different grammar structures in the text/vocabulary. It can be adapted according to the needs of the class. This will be used as a model for the next activity. The second one includes complex vocabulary and three role plays with the patient part in English to be translated. Each of them has a different level of difficulty to challenge more advanced students. It can be used as a pair activity where they have to memorize it and act it up in front of the class. These role plays could be used as models for students to write their own role plays: as a pair activity students write both parts the doctor and patient and then act it out. It is also a preparation for the oral assessment/exams.

All the resources are in English and Spanish. The timetable template can also be used in your lessons, ask students to create a timetable in the target language.

Two worksheets on daily routine for KS3 First worksheet is a text with an activity find the words in the text (in order) Second one is a simplified version of the text. Resource to use in class. First read and complete the activity, then oral questions about the text to demonstrate comprehension. The two texts are used as model to write own text (depending on students’ ability).The text includes present, past and near future, connectives, qualifiers and time phrases. Another option is to ask students to change some parts and memorize it as an oral assessment.

Reading comprehension worksheet created for KS3, year 9. It could be used as a revision for KS4 as it contains basic topics. Includes a text about Veronica Lodge from Riverdale with personal description, home and city. There are a variety of activities: find the words, true or false, grammar, write similar sentences to the ones in the text reusing more complex structures… In the text, there are some complex key sentences including some contrast between present and imperfect tense. The worksheet is differentiated at a lower level as well. This text can be used as a model for students to write their own text about another famous person or character.
