First level curriculum for excellence experiences and outcomes

(47)
This spread sheet is a compilation that I made for using the outcomes and experiences for the first level (around Primary 2 up to Primary 4 in Scotland). I will use it for planning and assessment as the Excel spread sheet format is flexible. You can download a free viewer for the spreadsheet from Microsoft if you have an old version of Excel. The information is taken from the Learning and Teaching Scotland web site in the Curriculum for Excellence section. This resource may need to be modified and updated as some CFE experiences/ outcomes have been changed (particularly Technologies).

This spread sheet is a compilation that I made for using the outcomes and experiences for the Early level (Nursery, Preschool up to Primary 1 in Scotland). I will use it for planning and assessment as the Excel spread sheet format is flexible. You can download a free viewer for the spreadsheet from Microsoft if you do not have Excel 2007. The information is taken from the Learning and Teaching Scotland web site in the Curriculum for Excellence section; and the High/Scope key experiences have a reference: Educating Young Children, Howmann &Weikhart. This resource may need to be modified and updated as some CFE experiences/ outcomes have been changed (particularly Technologies).

Second Level Experiences and Outcomes

This is a planning and assessment resource I made in 2011 using the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes for the 2nd level. These can also be found on the Education Scotland web site. I grouped the codes and descriptions so they can easily be cut and pasted into daily plans. There is a separate sheet for each curricular area and colour coded columns for each term that I use with similar coloured highlighter pens. This resource may need to be modified and updated as some CFE experiences/ outcomes have been changed (particularly Technologies).

SCN 1-02a I can explore examples of food chains and show an appreciation of how animals and plants depend on each other for food. Cut the strips to make links for food chains. Glue one tap and stick it to the other linking through the previous link in the food chain. You may wish to display them by hanging them from a line. There is some reading for information and a picture on each link. It can help explain the metaphor of 'chain' as they link.
