When I started teaching this unit, I received no training on how to use PhotoShop / InDesign. I’ve spent hours figuring it out by watching lots of YouTube videos. This handout offers a quick and efficient method for students to create magazine front covers. Hopefully it will save you some time! All the images on the handout are created by me and you can use them in the classroom - but please don’t publish them on line. I’ve put this handout together based on training materials from AQA together with examiner’s reports. It offers an overview of AQA GCSE English Language Paper 2 giving advice on what the examiner is looking for; how to approach questions; excerpts from sample answers; past questions. I use the handout as an aide-memoire when teaching this paper. I also distribute it to students to help them as they prepare for the exams. I have another similar handout that looks at GCSE English Language Paper 1.
