I crafted a powerpoint advent calendar. Clicking on each of the doors takes you to a revision question or general christmas question. After answering you return to the calendar page by clicking on the house button on the question slide. Currently filled in for a Y9 German (1st year of learning it), but easily modified for other subjects or languages. The background picture is also separate from the calendar doors, so easily swapped out for one of your liking. Merry Christmas ps - first version didn’t seem to work once uploaded. Apologies. A presentation and a couple of worksheets used to prepare Y11 for a spoken controlled assessment. This set concentrates on dream jobs and interviews. The way I used the parallel text was to initially practice pronunciation, then for the students to highlight key phrases that they would consider useful for speaking on both sides of the text, before finally manipulating them to give them their own meaning. keywords: Traumberuf, Jobs, dream job, Bewerbung, application, interview

grammar, tenses, use of imperfect and conditional This presentation aims to recap how to form the imperfect and based on this steps further to the conditional, explaining how tenses can be mixed. I use this early in year 11

ppt. to illustrate key items of uniform. I used this to also remind the students of the accusative (ich trage einen...) This is loosely based on a resource from TES with updated pictures and a bit of grammar at the end.

Presentation (pptx) of German numbers 1-30 for projection in the MFL classroom. Includes a couple of activities, link to pronunciation (bbc). Meant for teacher presentation, i.e. slide builds on clicks and there is no shifting of elements on the whiteboard. Done as assignment so not yet classroom tested

first introduction to pets in German on powerpoint. Introduces gender, definite and indefinite articles too. Vocab list at the end.

This is a second lesson on perfect tense, i.e. it assumes that the students know the basic perfect tense with avoir at least in a couple of sentences. The presentation then builds up the groups and rules and finishes by highlighting etre as an aux. The word document contains a few sets of exercises. I cut up the perfect tense side and asked student to match them to the infinitives.
