UV light whether lights or torches are best in a darkened room eg a sensory room but a darkened area/ dark den/ tent/den in a classroom with a UV torch will work. (Buy from Ebay). It is exciting, motivating, visually clear and fun. Aimed a people who attend special schools or who like sensory resources.

Cloth play can be with any cloth, lycra, parachute or scarf. The list is to give you a starting point of practical ideas of what you can do with 1 simple piece of equipment. Although aimed at special school pupils, parachute games in particular enable differentiation, our pupils may enjoy the wafting sensation and participation element and more able pupils may be following cognitive criteria.

At Westhill College we had a talk by the librarian; he did 101 ways to use a book and I liked this idea. So, when I run a sensory course people brainstorm ideas and I add them to the list. This is aimed at anyone who uses a sensory room, specifically a projector that shows effect wheels.
