Success at GCSE French Key Verbs

(0)
Last year I decided to create a help sheet for students of French GCSE to help with their memory recall of key verbs across the different tenses. The list of verbs, sentence starters, complex structures and gender agreement all the key areas that students need to get correct in order to be successful with their speaking and writing in French. The list is very much a doable list for success for both foundation and higher tiers and encourages students to recycle the language from topic to topic. I found the resource to be hugely successful with over a grade improvement per student when compared with the previous year’s results. The resource proved to especially effective with boys, as it offered a clear set of key structures they could learn and use again and again. The structures have been careful selected depending on the frequency that they are used normally by students across all topics and offers them access to the greatest amount of marks.
