Level 1 Diet and exercise powerpoint with activities - childcare

(0)
This resource is a powerpoint presentation that I went through with my level 1 childcare class. We were covering a unit on diet and exercise as part of the CACHE specification. This resource consisits of 19 slides. I have included a starter where students have to unscramble a list of keywords. Learner outcomes are also included where differentiation is set according to my class. This can be changed for your own class. The first task consists of defining the key terms - diet and exercise in two minutes (timer included). The next two slides give information on diet. The main task consists of choosing different factors that affect diet and explaining how it is affected. A slide on exercise facts is also included. Another task is set of choosing different factors that affect exercise with explanations needed. The powerpoint goes onto healthy and unhealthy diet where factors need to be explained in the tasks. The powerpoint ends on exercise and physical activity where students have to explain why partcipation of different activities is important. Tasks can be changed to suit your individual class. This powerpoint is useful to introduce and debate factors of exercise and diet and to create an understanding of it. This resource links to CACHE certificate level 1 childcare specification unit 14.
