Links to Curriculum for Excellence First Level Design and Technology. Es and Os noted for teacher on the first slide. Powerpoint starts with 3 slides of a bench which has been improved upon in real life. Children then think, discuss and look at the pictures of bus shelters. They then have to design their own and label it. Then make it from junk. Share. Make changes. You will need lots of junk in particular transparent tubs i.e. cartons used for grapes.

This is a list of activities for teaching word processing skills. I use this as an introduction to word processing. Tasks are easily differentiated as children can do more e.g. lots of different sizes and fonts etc OR target could be to change their name into 5 different fonts. I put in class names down the left and date under each section when child has demonstrated they can use each toolbar.
