A foundation level sentence builder to introduce Mi Casa. This links to unit five of the AQA text book and uses questions and answers to give a basic description of a house, rooms, furniture and location of furniture. There is a powerpoint with Conti style activities (I adapted a couple of Danielle Morgan’s slides here too) to practise EPI (see Gianfranco Conti’s blog on this at The Language Gym for more information). Thank you for the many ideas and CPD offered so freely by teachers such as those mentioned among many others.

Here is a Sentence Builder I have written along with three narrow listening and reading texts (following Gianfranco Conti’s EPI style of teaching) - it is based on unit 5.2F of the AQA Spanish GCSE textbook and contains “what is it like?” and “what is there?” type questions and answers in present, imperfect and future tenses.

This links to Listos 3 rojo 2:2 introducing souvenirs and shops. The activity sheets are differentiated and there are questions linked to a BBC video clip which are differentiated and the link is there.
I used Philfr's French resource for getting his group to work out the conditional tense. This is adapted from that to use with my year 9 group learning about the conditional tense in the topic of sports and hobbies (we are using Viva Foundation p72). Many thanks Philfr!
It is intended to guide students through the tense and enable them to draw out the rules and ways of using it. They work on it in groups and the clue cards can be used to support differentiation.
