This is a converting measurements powerpoint aimed at Year 5. It takes pupils through converting metric units and imperial units. It contains different activities where pupils are encouraged to actively participate and think about their learning. There is also lots of opportunity for class discussions.

This resource contains different questions about fractions which the children have to solve to crack the code. Each answer for each question links to a letter. This resource is useful to finish some teaching on fractions. I used this resource with a Year 4/5 class and hid the questions (grouped in 3's) around the room. The children were in teams and worked together to find the questions, answer them and crack the code. This resource can be edited and would work well with other primary years. This is a time conversions memory game which can be used as a starter or plenary. Children have to match a card to the correct conversion. Involves seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years conversions. I used this resource with a Year 4 class but it can be adapted for other year groups.

It has a range of activities to help aid children’s understanding such as pictorial representations. This is aimed at Year 5, however could be adapted for other year groups. A reading activity,where children use decoding skills to write down a definition of some words that are used within an extract from the book Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. Aimed at a Year 3 class. Resources include a decode the word worksheet and a PowerPoint which also includes a True/False plenary.

This is a worksheet that covers the parts of a plant and their uses, what a plant needs to grow, the life cycle of a plant and cacti and venus-fly traps. A range of activities/questions including drawing, labeling, filling in missing words and writing. It has been differentiated twice. I used this with a Year 3/4 class as a final lesson to consolidate their learning. Hope it’s useful!
