This assembly discusses Black History Month in the UK. Aim - To embrace diversity and unity Through – Promoting knowledge and understanding of black history and culture, both nationally and locally. Acknowledging and celebrating the contributions made by black people to the cultural and economic development of the UK. Heightening the confidence and awareness of black people to their cultural heritage. This assembly is used in a Christian school and so has a biblical story related to the theme but this could be omitted.
