Starter: multiple choice activity dealing with adding and subtracting like terms eg. -y+-3y and with substitution The lesson includes examples involving words and forming them into equations to help pupils make sense of the algebra. The lesson then goes on how to solve the equations and also includes a role play activity to make the algebra more real. This was a 35min interview Lesson and was used to get the job.
