Statistics Project - Analysing Texts

(0)
This project is an engaging resource that can be used to assess the application of averages, range, two-way tables, quartiles, box-plots, scatter graphs and correlation. Learners perform calculations and make observations draw conclusions by comparing real data from children’s texts. The assessment was originally produced for MYP2, but can easily be used as an end of unit assessment during Key Stage 3. The project challenges learners to role-play as the editor for a children’s book publisher. Using real texts (inc. Dr Seuss and Michael Morpurgo) to engage provide a real context for the work.
