This lesson goes through the causes of flooding and also hard and soft engineering strategies. Lesson was effective with a mixed ability year 10 group.

I find with my students this topic can be difficult to understand and retain, so I therefore wanted to make the lesson as visual as possible. This lesson worked very well, and students are able to recall knowledge months on. The lesson includes a huge amount of pictures to help pupils understand the information. Factors influencing energy supply lesson, along with great resources for pupils to make notes, and exam questions embedded throughout. This lesson covers the factors influencing energy supply, as well as an overview on strategies to increase energy supply, with Fracking in Blackpool as a case study. This lesson worked brilliantly with my year 11s, can be easily differentiated whilst providing good opportunities for deeper critical thinking.

An introductory lesson on the long and cross profiles of a river. This lesson also includes the key parts of the drainage basin. Perfect for a GCSE lesson (I used this with my year 9). Can also be used for higher ability KS3 students. Very visual and interactive.
