Essay Question: To what extent was the Elizabethan religious settlement (1559-1563) shaped by the attitudes and beliefs of Queen Elizabeth I herself? In my timed response, I recieved 23/25 marks, an A*. This is based on the AQA Specification and mark scheme. This essay is analytical and presents a balanced, precise and coherent argument for whether Elizabeth I’s own beliefs and attitudes impacted the Religious Settlement. In my actual A-level, I achieved an A* and I frequently used this style of essay writing. I hope you find it helpful for structure or knowledge :)

This essay received 23/25 marks and an A*. It is analytical and presents a balanced, coherent argument for and against the question, ‘Foreign policy in Edward’s reign was an ignominious failure’. It uses precise knowledge to ensure a clear undersatanding of the topic. In my actual A-level I received an A* and I used this style of essay writing frequently.
