Social influence Key Terms Quizzes

2 Resources
These key terms quizzes test 20 key terms from the Social Influence topic. They have been designed to be used after the topic has been taught as a way of checking knowledge retention over time. There is also an option for students to earn bonus points which challenges them to recall more than simple key terms. I use these as part of a termly competition which helps to motivate the students. For weaker groups of students, I warn them that the test is coming but for more able groups, I keep it as a surprise. I provide them with small prizes at the end of each term/ half term. I keep a chart (with stickers) on a board in my classroom so students can see how they are doing and it works really well! For example: For more able groups they get a sticker if they get over 70% but for less able groups, they get a sticker for the chart if they get over 50%

Relationships card sort AQA Alevel Psychology

This wonderful resource has really helped my students to consolidate their knowledge on the theories of relationships included in this topic. Some students found that they got the theories muddled up so this resource helped them to understand and revise the key elements of each theory. This can be done as team work or as an individual task and is great as a lesson starter or used as revision at the end of the topic. I have also used it to help explain how students could structure their answers to exam questions. Some of the cards require the students to put definitions or add more detail so it supports different abilities or students at different stages of revision.

This resource is designed to help students focus on the essential information that they will need to remember. It is designed to be A3 in size and has space for the students to fill in consolidated and condensed knowledge on the whole topic. I designed this in response to requests from my students and once completed allows them to have all the information they need for revision. This can be used after each topic as you teach to encourage the students to consolidate their knowledge or as part of active recall as a plenary after each lesson or as revision at the end of the topic. My students really like these resources.

This fabulous and flexible resource has many uses for both classwork as well as independent work. It covers the entire topic of psychopathology and will quickly allow students to understand which areas of the topic they need to spend more time on. It contains several command words to help students to practice exam skills. It also lends itself to peer marking which cuts down on teacher work load. Can be used as starter or plenary to psychopathology lessons or as revision.

Forensic Psychology Summary Sheet- AQA

This is another A3 summsry sheet that has been designed after feedback from students. They wanted a sheet where they can have all the condensed information for a topic on one sheet. Students take time to fill these sheets in and make sure that they are neat and tidy and they make an excellent revision resource. They may not need any checking or marking from teachers! Condensing the information will help retention of information but I would always encourage some sort of active recall activity after completing the sheet.
