These are tickets we use in my class every day when writing to allow the teacher/TA to assess each individual piece of writing quickly and consistently. We have evolved them over several years. The first 3 pages are for EYFS, taken from Development Matters and the Statutory Framework. They are made for the adult to mark, adding notes as needed. These tickets allow for a massive amount of information to be recorded in seconds. The 4th page is taken from the Y1 end of year expectations (plus a few extras) which you can stick at the top of each page of work they do. I highlight a line over each criteria 1, 2, or 3 times to reflect beginning, developing or secure. (“Say my sentence” is added in there from EYFS so they always can do at least one thing.) I also use this to circle a target on for their next piece of work - the children can access this entire system easily so it’s a really efficient way of doing it.

5 different, lovely measuring sheets with every animal sized exactly to the nearest whole cm. All you have to do is print them on A3 or A4, according to their file name. A really fun way to get children measuring. These could be sent as homework, done in class as printed sheets or,my favourite, laminate them and hide them around the room so the children have a treasure hunt. If you label them A B C etc then the children can make their own record sheet (see the handwriting practise sneaking in there?!) and it’s easy to mark. I also use them as challenges. For example: Can you find a broom longer than 5cm? Can you find a boat between 6 and 10 cm? Can you choose 4 dragons and put them in size order? So many possibilities. My class love these every year!

These certificates cover counting, doubling/halving, number bonds, all times tables and different levels of telling the time. Our children love getting these in assembly and it’s a lovely way to communicate your pupils’ achievements home.

Teach basic formation with the reference sheets, both upper and lower case. Teach joining with the ref posters. Check formation accuracy with the test sheets. Different f and k formation is catered for.

A great way to sequence the alphabet. 3 levels of differentiation already done for you. Really useful test sheets for finding out whether the children can write upper or lower case letters or both. You can re-use these time after time.

With larger and smaller versions, this is a great resource to print, cut out and fold up to see where the letters go and how the apostrophes for contraction actually works. I’ve always found this to be a great hit with year 1!
