An activity to help students write part of a 9 mark response to the question ‘For an NEE which you have studied, to what extent are TNCs effective in helping that country to develop’. The intro and 1st paragraph have been completed and students are instructed to pick out evidence for AO1, AO2 and AO3. There is then space for students to complete the 2nd paragraph and conclusion. On the second page of the document there is an optional gap fill to help students who are struggling.

This usually takes me 2 lessons to get through. Introduces key concepts including air pressure, isolation, global atmospheric circulation (hadley cell, ferrel cell and polar cell), pressure belts and surface winds.

Lesson and worksheet introducing the concept of the post-modern western city. Students are introduced to the key characteristics vs a modern city and then apply these to London to assess the extent this is a post modern western city. There is also a 9 marker past paper question.

A simple lesson which looks at the formation of aretes, corries, pyramidal peaks and tarns. Uses the new geog.1 textbook for one activity.

A whole lesson/2 lessons depending on how long you want to stretch it out for! Looks at how globalisation has led to a decrease in inequality between countries but increased the gap within countries. Includes 3 worksheets with 2 exam style questions using figures.

Lesson looking at the glacial processes of erosion, transportation and deposition. Includes filling in a worksheet using information sheets (either on desks or around the room) and annotating a photograph.

A lesson looking at the dimensions of globalisation including the flows of capital, labour, products, services and information around the world. Lots of skills based tasks e.g. interpreting maps and graphs. Took 2 one hour lessons!

A PowerPoint with information and a few activities to introduce some of the key dimensions and factors of globalisation. Includes slides looking at; Patterns of production, distribution and consumption (global shift), Global Marketing (this task requires the Cambridge AQA student book), trading blocs and a Brexit research task. Took me two one hour lessons to get through!

3 lessons (on one powerpoint) for the new AQA A geography spec looking at the Brandt line (briefly) Demographic Transition Model, causes of uneven development and consequences of development. Uses a few pages from the Hodder textbook but sure the information will be in other textbooks as well. Resources are on the last slides of the powerpoint.

For the Geography AQA A level specification. First few lessons looking at the topic of Place. Powerpoint containing 2 lessons worth of info, all activities within powerpoint. These include research tasks, annotating photos and instructions for a completing a clone town survey.

Presentation which will probably last over a couple of lessons. All activities within the powerpoint, gets students to think about their own examples of each.
