Originally created for an interview and subsequently extended for a full lesson. Contains a PowerPoint which guides pupils through area and perimeter, by firstly counting squares and then moving on to calculations. 2 worksheets, both similar but one has more extension questions depending on the ability of your class, these include scaffolded compound shape questions, and some questions with shapes inside shapes. Multiple choice questions are included at the end to assess progress, as well as the answers to the worksheet.

Used with a top set Year 10 class. Focus of the lesson is to solve quadratics graphically. Worked example sheet is given to save time sketching out the graph so pupils can follow your example easily. Powerpoint is very clear and shows everything step by step! Questions then move on to when the equation needs to be adjusted slightly and read off a different y value than 0. Worksheet and answers are provided. Extension questions also provided!

Interview lesson which was originally 30 minutes but I have since adapted the lesson to last the whole hour. Goes through step by step to try and get pupils to discover the 180*(n-2) formula for total angles in a polygon by splitting in to triangles, with irregular shapes for the pupils to draw on. Answers for worksheets are provided, which print A5 both sided if you print two per page and flip on short edge!
