I made this worksheet to help students memorise body parts and practise the expression 'j'ai mal' + the prepositions 'à/ à l'/ à la/au/aux'. This is part of the GCSE topic 5 on Health and Fitness.
I made this Powerpoint presentaton to help my Y11 students memorise the key facts of the French education system but it can be used with any KS4 group. The vocabulary and information are taken from Encore Tricolore 4 - Unit 5 p. 93.
Resource used to introduce the tradition of 'la bande dessinée' in France to my Y9 classes. To complete the topic I also showed the first movie 'Asterix le Gaulois', which my pupils really enjoyed.
I used this resource to practise listening skills + cultural awareness. Suitable for KS4 students. I also showed the video which can be downloaded from Céline Dion’s official website www.celinedion.com (good news for those who cannot access Youtube in class!).
I invented this song and used it my KS3 and KS4 classes. My students loved it.
I used the tune of The sound of Music (from Doe a deer, a female deer …).
I would have attached my recording but it has been rejected as ma4 is an unsupported file type.
Hovewer, In the attached PPT you also have the music only version so you could sing it yourselves and maybe use a guitar in class, as I did, to add some excitement.
I hope it helps.
Activity aimed at increasing vocabulary knowledge around the topic of “la casa”. Pupils need to draw a picture of a house using the listed criteria. I set it as H/W and students peer assess it at the beginning of the following lesson. My students love it and some get very creative especially as there is an element of competition.
I use the attached sheet with my Y7 to quickly assess their ability to understand and write words and sets of words under dictation.
DTC stands fro Deep Thinking Challenge and could be used to add more difficult words (eg. : words never seen/heard before)
