This booklet acts as a guide to using Sibelius 7. It explains how to initially set up a project and start inserting notes using the mouse. The guide is easy to follow with screen shots taken from Sibelius on each step to allow students to see what should be happening as they work. There is also a 'common problems' guide at the back to help them troubleshoot.

I created this resource as a revision guide for my year 7 class before an assessment. It has also come in handy to give to some of my struggling GCSE students when they have to do composing work.

This sheet acts as a reference for students composing. It based based on a composition being written in C major. It includes chord help, passing notes and some rhythm and notation support.

This is just the AQA performance grading criteria that I have put into a different format. I use these assessment sheets when I do mock performances with the students. I tick where they are at the moment so they can see where they need to improve.
