The 2026 spec Unit 1: Children’s Development - externally assessed unit. 1 powerpoint has x2 12 mark questions each with case studies. 1 addresses the command verb ‘assess’ and the other addresses the command verb ‘evaluate’. Both have a writing frame, supporting students to structure their work/writing. It specifically states what to include in each paragraph and how these relate to the assessment outcomes and marks. The 2nd powerpoint is to support students ‘discuss’ for 9 mark questions. The ‘what, why and how map’ helps students to plan their answer before tackling the x5 'discuss questions. I have also given a model answer for one of the 5 questions, based on ‘poverty’.

As of June2025 NCFE have released a new spec for the T Level in Education & Early Years. Element 3 has grown in size from 3.9 to 3.13 and there are tweaks in the earlier content too i.e. 3.1 to 3.9. This p/point and supporting handouts covers the entire element, in accordance with the spec. It has key content and a multitude of activities to aid learning and memory for instance: class debates, relection activities in relation to the students work placement, true or false questions etc.

As of 29th Aug 2025 AAQ have amended the Ext Cert spec and the assignment briefs for this unit. Attached are 2 p/points that cover the whole of Task 2 (Learning aim B) and Task 3 (Learning aim C) for the version 1 assignment. Lots of consolidation/assessment tasks embedded within too, such as research tasks, written Q&A, case studies, mystery box activity, video analysis etc.

Extended National Diploma, 2016 spec Teaching for learning aims A & B Includes all lesson materials and assignment guidance, that goes towards Task 1. All powerpoints have a multitude of activities for the students to complete as well as teacher led content. Examples of activities include; reviewing the Winterbourne View case video clips and righting wrongs, unscrambling words, case studies, making notes on good practice from reliable sources such as Social Care Institute for Excellence, extending vocabulary, ethics quiz, research tasks etc All teaching is applied to the brand new Pearson case studies; R and Jim, however all content can be adapted to fit the old case studies too. All resources are clearly organised to cover A: A1, A2 and A3 and B: B1 and B2.

This resource relates to the new AAQ in Early Childhood Development spec. Teaching to commence Sept 2025. It relates to Unit1: Children’s Development, Learning aim A. The powerpoint provides full coverage of learning aim A with lots of different revision activities and consolidation, recap tasks such as case study analysis, class debates, paired challenges, research tasks etc 17 slides in total with additional handouts such as a RAG rating sheet of the full unit content; Learning aims A, B, C, D, E and F, an article on the importance of early intervention, misconceptions quiz and a handout on nature vs nurture.

There is a brand new spec (June 2025) for the NCFE T Level in Education & Early Years, known as Generation 2. This is a 32 slide p/point that covers the entire ESP project. Clear instructions/guidance/timings/marking schemes. The ESP is broken down into the preliminary research task, Task 1, Task 2, Task 3 and Task 4. Also included are Word pro-formas for the entire ESP that can be used as practise and to aid familiarity for the students. I will use this to take the students through the entire project and prepare them for the brief.

Generation 2 came out June 2025 for the T Level in Education and Early Years. These are 4 activities that can be used to prepare the students for the ESP pr release task and the brief. (EYE) the child profile is examined for specific details (used the latest sample; Nina) group carousel task using statutory and non statutory guidance documents mini teaches based on Element 1 and a constructive feedback activity and a reflection task research task using statutory guidance and then application task to Nina sample.

This resource covers Learning aim A on the 2016 CPLD spec for both Ext Cert and the National Diploma. This resource will support students to achieve assignment 1. A range of activities included within the powerpoint. Links made to the core text book and other relevant sources such as Early Years Careers. Cross over between Unit 1 and Unit 3 evidenced. The Ext Nat Dip Health & Social Care Course; 2016 spec. Everything required to complete Unit 17 Task 2. Covers key content for learning aim C; C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5. Included is a powerpoint with multiple activities/exercises for the students to complete and task guidance for the students to be able to complete the assessment criteria. This resource supports the 2016 specification for Health & Social Care; BTEC National Extended Diploma. It covers all teaching and learning for learning aims A&B. Supporting worksheets accompany the PowerPoint too. There are an array of tasks set within the PowerPoint such as WHO video analysis, links to current and topical matters such as Covid 19, research tasks, analysis of graphs/charts, Q&A related to public health articles, maths challenges related to statistical data, sources to promote independent reading etc. The PowerPoint has 47 slides. It supports the students employability skills, study skills and maths and English too. The specification states that there should be examples specific to your local geographical area, mine relates to the Greater Manchesters area, but my examples can be substituted with others.
