I have collated 80+ possible questions for Task 1 of the Oral Exam (Stimulus Card) for all the different themes (Natur&Umwelt/Bildung/Die Welt der Arbeit/Musik/Medien/Feste&Traditionen/Immigration und die Multikulturelle Gesellschaft/Die Wiedervereinigung), and also added some facts and ideas for each question, which are meant to give students a starting point for formulating their own answers. The questions have been designed for the new Edexcel spec but could be suited for other exam boards as well. I hope you will find these useful! Updated February 2021

I have collated a list of questions and answers that could come up during the roleplay section of the GCSE speaking exam (Edexcel). they are divided by the four themes that could come up (Identity and Culture; Local Area, Holiday and Travel; School; Future Aspirations, Study and Work). A whole lesson about music genres in Germany. Includes a reading text and questions, a translation task, questions that can either be used as a speaking or writing task, a listening task where students need to give their opinion, as well as a gap fill for a song about Berlin. An answer sheet is also provides.

This is a thorough introduction to the use of the Konjunktiv 1 and 2 in Indirect Speech, with a 20 slide Powerpoint Presentation which includes many 'do now' activities for the students, as well as a two page worksheet (an answer sheet is also included) which can be used as homework. The presentation and worksheet provide plenty of activities for a double lesson. The tasks are aimed at Y12 and Y13 A-Level students.

This resource includes a worksheet with short summaries of the major German bank holidays and festivals as well as follow-up questions with answers, plus a set of sentences about the same topic for translation from English into German (again with answers). The worksheet could be suitable for a able Y11 class, while the translations are quite difficult and definitely aimed at Y12 or Y13. I am a native German speaker so there shouldn’t be any mistakes.
