The United Kingdom

(22)
This is actually intended as Lesson One of an Around the World unit for my year 1 Geography, but it would work well as a stand-alone introduction to the British Isles. It provides a simple introduction to the United Kingdom, with facts about England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, as well as a mini-assessment at the end with true/false statements the children can answer, based on the learning they have just done.

London in 1666 vs today Great Fire lesson

This is intended as an introduction to the Great Fire of London topic. Since we’re doing distance learning due to the virus, these slides are VERY detailed. I include the sheets, too. Covers Houses and Buildings; London At Night; Transport; London People. PS. I know the audio clips don’t work - if you would like a video version of this resource, it is at https://youtu.be/fL5QE8bMot0

Differences between Tudor Rich and Poor

(7)
This is a lesson designed to support Year 4 in their understanding of the Tudors, outlining the main differences between the Tudor rich and Tudor poor (with a bit of the middle class!). The powerpoint covers most areas of Tudor life.
