I gave this sheet to my year 8 class at the start of three lessons which covered weathering, erosion and deposition respectively. My intention was that the pupils would realise that these three processes all worked together even though they were studied separately. The pupils filled in what they had learnt that day into the sheet at the end of every lesson.

Pupils research the basics of cement, mortar and concrete as well as some other facts on using concrete. This is linked to the career of civil engineering.
