This is a full set of resources for Edexcel B Topic 1 Climate (Spec 1.1 - 1.6 only). These resources include starters that require content recall from across Edexcel B Topics 4 - 9. An answer slide follows. Throughout each lessons, there are structured mini-whiteboard activities that assess students’ understanding before you move on to teaching new content. For each mwb activity, an answer slide follows which shows the reason for the correct answer and reasons why the other answers are incorrect. Each lesson introduces new content to students and then includes ‘thinking hard’ activities that require students to work with, think about, and engage with the new information. Each activity has a ‘Challenge’ activity to ensure students who finish early can actively engage with the learning in more creative and thoughtful ways. This set of lessons has been embedded with whole-spec and topic-specific Geographical skills, including numeracy, mapping tropical cyclones, and GIS to track cyclones. Links have been updated in 2026 and are either embedded in the PowerPoint slides or link to working YouTube video resources. These lesson resources are titled with the relevant Specification Point (which is also shown on the starting slide) and are numbered (01. / 02. / 03.) and the additional resources that go with each lesson are also numbered to match. Printed resources for students are collated at the end of the slides, or where they are too large (such as news articles), they appear as separate documents with the same number for organisation.
