A set of 2 activities for the world cup this year suitable for KS1, lower KS2, first level and lower second level learners. A task I used as an early finisher activity where pupils must research a country of choice from the world cup to design a new strip for them. The strip design must be related in someway to the country it is representing - I let pupils research this to identify flag colours, logos, national animals etc. A research template sheet for learners to record information about a country whose national team has qualified for the World Cup. I tried to engage my boy heavy class in this task by including a heading about top players from the country. Pupils can draw the strip for the team they are researching in the football shirt template box. As above with a black headed box for learners to choose a subject of research and provide their own heading.
