Conflict Unit (Congo)
A thought-provoking Year 9 Geography unit exploring the causes, impacts and complexities of conflict through a detailed case study of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Students investigate global conflict patterns, resource issues, and the human and environmental consequences of violence in Eastern Congo. The unit includes lessons on the role of Virunga National Park, analysis of the Virunga documentary, and a full assessment.
