Teach your students P.E.E (Point, Evidence, Explain) to answer Reading Comprehension questions

(0)
Teaching children how to answer Reading Comprehension questions requires practice and precision. Teaching students to use P.E.E (Point, Evidence, Explain) will take their written reading comprehension skills to the next level. I teach my 11+ English students this method. By modelling this type of answer you will enable your students to tackle more complex questions with ease, like inference, explain and predict type questions. #11plusenglish #11+english #readingcomprehension

Creative Writing - Flip the Genre - The Three Little Pigs as a Newspaper Report

FLIP THE GENRE CREATIVE WRITING LESSON This is such a fun Creative Writing lesson! My Year 6 class loved it so much. Read the original story to your class - they actually LOVE the original version no matter their age. My Year 6 children’s faces lit up when I read them the picture book. You then tell them that they are going to FLIP THE GENRE and re-write the story in the form of a Newspaper Report. Show them the example posted here of a rewritten story of The Three Little Pigs as a Newspaper Report. I have INCLUDED a full break-down of how I achieved this which you should go through with the children so they can follow the model. The children then have a go at writing their own using the model given here. It really inspired my class and they were so motivated to write their Newspaper Reports. I have other FLIP THE GENRE examples for sale. I teach in a private school in London and run 11+ English tuition groups. Check out my website for more information: www.earlybirdtutoring.co.uk
