Theme by Design: Extraction and Crafting
Special introductory price: $45 (Regular $50)
Eliminating the frustration that is associated with crafting a theme remains a challenge for middle and high school students. Historically speaking, students will not dig beneath the surface of the text to infer meaning and deduce the necessary insights to unveil the theme. Moving students toward a more sophisticated, universal theme statement is an ambitious goal. To achieve this, students must adopt a specific structure that works. I have discovered the missing link. While most resources rely heavily on plot structure, my approach focuses on the Character Arc. My step-by-step formula bridges this gap using a clear process for identification and resolution. The contents of my Master System are listed below.

Instructional Purpose
This framework has been designed for students who possess a general knowledge of the basics of Theme and are ready to practice and deconstruct this element of literary analysis by using Paired Texts. Using my PPC and SADE strategies will assist students to move beyond simple word or moral-based themes to identify Character Arcs and craft that data to create a highly academic theme reflecting a universal message.
