I have created some aesthetic and fun autumnal themed play menus. These food inspired play recipes help support literacy by using letter “B” to support alliteration. These resources also allow children to learn about seasonal change through autumnal themed ‘cooking’ either in a mud kitchen, play dough area or loose part Tuff tray. I want these menus to look colourful and creative to not only engage the children but to support autumnal room displays and adult led prompts. I have designed some fun ‘Pumpkin themed’ printable learning resources to support children within the early years, with an autumn and Halloween twist! Begin to use autumnal themes within play to add further learning about seasonal change and spooky celebrations. This bundle includes Pumpkin threading templates, pumpkin counting/loose part discs, big medium small size comparison pumpkin mats and Jack O lantern mark making discs with simple shapes and faces. All of these resources can be used on tables, in trays, 1-1 work, group play, paired with loose parts such as acorns, pom poms, stones, thread, seeds, leaves etc. Laminate for longevity and use whiteboard pens for extra fun, cut pumpkins individually or use as a work sheet. These activities are aimed for children aged between 2 and 5.
