ESL Vocabulary Worksheets, Ages 6-7
Five ESL worksheets, 50 flashcards, and full answer keys for the very first vocabulary kids ages 6-7 need to start speaking English. Print-and-go, no prep. This is Level 1 of the Lamberti English Services vocabulary series (Pre-A1, absolute beginner), built for tutors, homeschool parents, and classroom teachers who want a supplement, not a full curriculum.
What’s included:
5 worksheets: greetings & classroom language, numbers 1–10, colors, basic nouns, action verbs (TPR)
50 flashcards, ready to cut out, with a Leitner box study system
Picture flashcards: Colors (10 cards) and Family, Animals & Body (10 cards)
A spaced review calendar (Day 1, 3, 7, 14, 30)
A retrieval quiz covering all five topics
A semantic word web, one filled example and one blank template
A running dictation activity
Teacher notes with a warm-up activity for every worksheet
Full answer keys for every worksheet and the quiz
Grammar and vocabulary focus
This is the very beginning of the series, single words and short fixed phrases a child says on cue: greetings, numbers 1–10, colors, family/animal/body nouns, and action verbs taught through Total Physical Response. Full sentences aren’t the goal yet, this level builds the spoken foundation everything else sits on.
How to use it
Say the words out loud first, then hand over the worksheet. It’s for practicing words a learner already heard, not for teaching brand-new ones. Use the flashcards and review calendar over several weeks. Run the retrieval quiz every two weeks to check progress.
This packet won’t make a learner fluent on its own. It’s built to speed up whatever English lessons your child already has: a school book, an online program, or private tutoring.
License: personal use in your own classroom, tutoring practice, or homeschool. Please don’t share, resell, or upload it for others to access. Full terms are included in the resource.
Part of a series
This is Level 1, the start of the series. Once your child has the greetings, numbers, colors, and core nouns down, Level 2 introduces core verbs (am/is/are, like, want, can), simple adjectives, and the first question words, the next step toward full sentences.
