Changes to the Earth's Atmosphere worksheet

(7)
Aimed at KS3/GCSE students studying the development of the atmosphere. Laid out as a flow chart/timeline for students to fill in a brief description of the atmosphere at each stage and how and why it changed over time. Could be used as a summary sheet for students to fill in after class discussion/presentation of how the atmosphere changed, or as a group research task where groups look at information/data about the different stages of the atmosphere and fill in what they have found out. The second option can easily be differentiated by varying the level of information given to different ability groups.

Edexcel A Level Chemistry Paper 3 Revision Booklet

(1)
Designed for Year 12 and 13 students preparing for Edexcel A Level Chemistry exams, and specifically the difficult synoptic and practical focused Paper 3: General and Practical Principles of Chemistry. It is an ideal standalone resource to give to students to work on (for the core practicals they have covered) over the summer between L6 to U6, in revision for mock exams, or over Easter before the final exams. Section 1 contains notes on working scientifically, including identifying variables, making observations, results tables and graphs, risk assessments, errors and uncertainties. (All skills contained within CPAC statements). Section 2 contains notes on each core practical, describing the method, analysing sample results, suggesting sources of experimental error, and explaining the theory behind the practical. Important considerations are noted at the end of each practical, suggesting points that could be examined in Paper 3. The booklet is very comprehensive, with 48 highly detailed pages, and is in pdf form, ready to print and photocopy and give to students as it is. Small adjustments may be made to it using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
