For every Spanish teacher in the world, the 2026 Bad Bunny Super Bowl show demonstrated the wealth of cultures and identities in the American continent. The show was full of details that pupils may or may not have understood. The presentation explains those details with a series of gap-filling and matching exercises. It is both in Spanish and English. 21st February marked the UNESCO International Mother Language Day. This is one example amongst many of showcasing one’s culture. If you teach students of diverse backgrounds, the PowerPoint gives the opportunity for students to showcase their own language and culture. The PowerPoint reviews events that happened between June 1940 to end of 1942 (the collaboration period). It explores the consequences of this period still today and focuses especially of the exodus from the north following the ligne de démarcation. There are some references to the Ardèche. When using the PowerPoint, it would be handy for teachers to have a map of France.

A complete lesson (likely to be two lessons) on the five senses inviting learners to share personal experiences, to help build sentence structures using modal verbs and adverbs, classifying adjectives such as sparkly, fresh, faint etc… and identify what sense those adjectives could describe. The PowerPoint then examines the use of the word “sense” and its different meaning according to context. We then look at anosmia and hyperosmia and other situations where our senses can be impaired and what can affect this. Lots of opportunities for discussion, good for English classes or EFL classes.

The PowerPoint invites learners to reflect on the term “community”, think about certain terms (adjectives) that can describe various communities, use the passive form if you are using this to teach English (possibly as a Foreign Language), talk about community events in your area and emblematic areas/ buildings that a community would use for various events.

This is an #assessment resource based on Accés Studio and Studio 1 materials in terms of vocabulary and grammar assessed but can be adapted to most Year 7 French coursebooks. Each vocabulary assessment is linked to a quizlet quiz. It promotes self-assessment and revision techniques. There is also revision advice as part of the package. Topics covered are suitable for beginners and include: Greetings, numbers, days of the week, months, dates, school bag and classroom content, likes and dislikes, colours, animals, family, basic food, where you live, nationalities, weather. Grammar points are also for beginners.

It is almost a guarantee (definitely an expectation) that in a translation in an A Level Spanish paper, students will be asked to translate a phrase with se… But often they don’t think of it as they just transfer erroneously the English phrase into Spanish e.g. the literal translation of “Spanish is spoken in Uruguay”. This PowerPoint attempts to get students’ attention to the use of se, with some translation exercises and some useful expressions containg “se”.
