A KS2 unit of Art based on Henri Rousseau’s Surprised painting. This was planned for Y4 but can be used in any KS2 Year group. Unit includes artist research, exploring the formal elements (shape, composition, line, colour), observational drawing, outside learning, colour mixing and experimenting with different media. This unit lasts a term, my previous Year 4 class loved this! This unit includes 6/7 lessons with starters, mains, activities and plenaries.
