A huge selection of Listening and Appraising PPT lessons that can be used for all KS3 classes. The lessons comprise of Artists/Musicians in focus - which allow students to be introdcuced to a famous musician from a particular genre, with live performances and a compare to a cover section as well. The lesson is all on the PPT and has the links and notes to follow for non specialists. The only bit of equipment students will need is pen and paper and if you don’t have that this could be done listening and discussion based as an alternative. When these have been used for cover lessons, feedback has been great with ‘Queen’ and ‘Avici’ being popular to use by non specialists!

Lots of cover staff adding in their own example as well if using this to teach with! The PPT includes an LSQ based knowledge starter activity with answers and some notes for non specialists in the note section of the PPT. Feedback from cover staff when delivering this has been positive and easy to follow. Another resource that can be pen and paper based, or listening and discussion based.
