The Market Square Project
A short sequence of 5 or 6 lessons, suitable for Year 7 students who may be new to drama.
The lessons use a variety of drama-in-education techniques to encourage students to use role/character to explore theme and issues (in this case, the closure of a fictionalised market square) and introduces some techniques such as teacher-in-role; freeze-frame; improvisation; writing-in-role; and reportage.
